STAMFORD -- The city announced its first mass vaccination clinic for the H1N1 vaccine for infants and pregnant women Thursday evening at the Government Center.
No appointments are necessary, said Anne Fountain, the health department's emergency management coordinator.
The clinic will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in the lobby of the Government Center. Only pregnant women and children from 6 to 35 months will be treated, Fountain said.
The doses, which contains thimerosol, are injectable and are the first such doses the city has received.
The department continues to accept appointments for the live-attenuated H1N1 spray vaccine for healthy children ages 2 to 18 and healthy, non-pregnant household contacts or caregivers of infants younger than 6 months.
